Marriott Rewards collects eight Freddie’s

Marriott Rewards won eight 2006 Freddie
Awards, including Program of the Year, Frequent Guest Program for Europe,
Middle East and Africa; Best Customer Service in the Americas; and Best
Elite Level Frequent Guest Program in the Americas.Marriott Rewards won
more awards than any other hotel program and finished in the top three in
23 of the 25 categories.
  The Freddie Awards are given by Randy Petersen, publisher of Frequent
Flyer magazine, for excellence in frequent-traveler programs globally, and
are determined by yearly reader surveys. This was the 18th year that the
awards, which are named after Sir Freddie Laker, who started the first low
cost airlines to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, were held.
  Marriott International took first place in the following categories:

    * Best Award, Frequent Guest Program, Asia/Pacific
    * Best Award, Frequent Guest Program, Europe/Middle East, Africa
    * Best Web Site, Frequent Guest Program, Europe/Middle East, Africa
    * Best Customer Service, Frequent Guest Program, Europe/Middle East,
      Africa
    * Best Customer Service, Frequent Guest Program, Americas
    * Best Elite Level, Frequent Guest Program, Europe/Middle East/Africa
    * Best Elite Level, Frequent Guest Program, Americas
    * Program of the Year, Frequent Guest Program, Europe/Middle East/Africa
  Marriott Rewards membership is free to join and allows members to earn
points or airline miles for every dollar they spend at eight Marriott
International lodging brands. Points can be redeemed for free hotel stays,
merchandise, rental cars, cruises, adventure travel tours, theme park
tickets and more.
