Accor North America has announced the opening of seven new franchise locations including Motel 6 locations in Stoughton, Wisconsin; Lafayette, Indiana; Beeville, Texas; Dalton, Georgia; and San Antonio, Texas; and Red Roof Inns in Pharr, Texas; and Rancho Cordova, California. This growth is in line with Accor’s recent announcement of its plans to double the number of franchise properties for its economy brands.

Accor North America currently has approximately 300 franchise properties representing 25 percent of its 1,200 Red Roof Inn, Studio 6 and Motel 6 properties in the United States and Canada.

“Our growth plans in North America are consistent with Accor’s philosophy to maintain balance as an owner/operator, management partner and franchisor,” said Georges Le Mener, president and CEO for Accor North America. “By increasing the proportion of franchised locations, Accor can achieve greater market share while maximizing shareholder return.”
