Le Sport upgrades wellness retreat

The BodyHoliday at LeSPORT in St. Lucia is upgrading its all-inclusive wellness and fitness retreat as part of a two year refurbishment program. The all-inclusive wellness and fitness retreat, recently voted the number four spa in the world by Condé Nast UK, will see the addition of 33 five-star villas, expansion of the Oasis centre of well being, upgrades to guest rooms, the addition of a unique design of seafood restaurant and refurbishment of public areas of the hotel.

According to Craig Barnard, owner of The BodyHoliday, the program was motivated by requests for upgraded and expanded facilities from guests of the resort. “We are very fortunate to have a high percentage of repeat visitors - almost 30% of our guests” said Barnard. “These clients have told us they want freshly refurbished rooms and suites, and more spa facilities.  They told us that there was room at The Body Holiday for a Luxury Villa product. They love our food and beverage outlets such as Tao, and that they would be enthusiastic to see more restaurant choices at The Body Holiday.  Our plan was created in response to guest feedback, and we are very proud to invest in maintaining our world class standards of excellence.”

The plan has been carefully orchestrated to ensure guest comfort throughout the process. “We know that our guests come here to experience the beauty and serenity of St. Lucia.  We have invested in a carefully orchestrated Master Plan for the upgrades to ensure just that” adds Barnard.  “At the same time, five star accommodations require five star infrastructure, and we are certain that our guests will be delighted with the results.”

The Plan will see the addition of 33 new Luxury Villas, located on the hillside adjacent to The Body Holiday.  These villas will be sold as individual dwellings, but will be available to rent through a rental pool agreement with the hotel.  The Villas of Le Sport come in three spectacular two bed roomed designs and all have their own infinity pool.

Plans are in place for a new seafood restaurant to be built on the rocks overlooking the sea, with breathtaking views of the sunset and the island of Martinique.  The restaurant will continue the tradition of excellence in food and beverage that The Body Holiday is known for.

The Oasis Center of Health and Well Being, with its wide range of services and treatments, remains a cornerstone of The BodyHoliday experience, and it will be expanded to continue to serve the needs of guests.  The Oasis is the only spa in the Caribbean to make Condé Nast’s Gold list.

Rooms and suites at the Body Holiday are known for Caribbean inspired decor and uninterrupted views of Cariblue beach.  During the refurbishment program, rooms will receive fresh linens and updated furnishings, while maintaining their relaxed and elegant design.

According to Barnard “Our guests are discerning and they recognize quality.  We are investing in The BodyHoliday to meet and exceed their expectations.  We intend for The BodyHoliday to maintain its place amongst the best in the world.”
