Crerar makes key appointments

Crerar Hotels, the hotel group owned by North British Trust Group (NBTG), has made a number of new appointments.The five hotels are currently undergoing a £6million re-branding and refurbishment project, which will position the group as a stylish choice for both business and leisure guests. Planning proposals for a further three hotels are being completed for Glencoe, Ganavan Sands (nr Oban) and a confidential site in St Andrews .

As part of the strategy the following key appointments have been made to further strengthen an already highly successful management team:

Loch Fyne Hotel, Inveraray
John Campbell, General Manager
John has 24 years experience in the hospitality industry, most recently working with Swallow Hotels.  Previously he trained and worked with British Transport Hotels including The Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh and Gleneagles.
Paul Gerrard, Food and beverage Manager, Loch Fyne Hotel, Inveraray.
Paul specialises in small four star quality hotels including Fairfield House and the Uplawmoore Hotel. Paul joins Crerar from the Ivy House in Ayr.

Scotland’s Hotel, Pitlochry (acquired Dec 05)
Geraldine McKay, General Manager
Geraldine joins Crerar Hotels with 11 years of hospitality experience, the latest of which is from the Paramount Hotels Group at the four star Marine Hotel in Troon.
David McKendry, Head Chef
Having worked at Houston House for 13 years, David was then employed as Executive Chef at both Loch Rannoch Hotel and Moness Country Club before joining Scotland’s in February this year.


Ben Wyvis Hotel, Strathpeffer
Karl Taylor, Head Chef
Karl joins the hotel group with over 20 years of cheffing experience, having worked in a variety of restaurants and hotels in Inverness-shire including, Coul House Hotel, Craigdarroch Hotel and Tulloch Castle.
