Hotel chain Residence Hotels and Resorts Sdn Bhd (RHR) plans to expand its operations overseas by taking over the management of several five-star hotels.“RHR is now in discussions with a few five-star hotels in Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bahrain on the possibility of taking over their operations and management,” its managing director Rohanna Ramli told Bernama news agency.

“Actually, we had been offered by several hotel owners before, but I just don’t want to go in until we are ready,” she said.

“Now, we are ready to sell our expertise abroad and hope to conclude the discussions and get the necessary approvals by this year,” she told reporters after signing an agreement with Seri Pacific Corporation Sdn Bhd (SPC) to take over the operations and management of Pan Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur here today.
