HK Express Air takes on SITA’s Horizon

Hong Kong Express Airways (HKE) has signed a three-year contract
with SITA for the Horizon portfolio to include the use of SITA Reservations - the
system of choice used by over 160 airlines worldwide to manage their distribution
and sales processes.
Hong Kong Express Airways is a new airline dedicated to business travellers from
Hong Kong to multiple cities in China, including Hangzhou and Ningbo, on a new fleet of Embraer 170 aircraft.

“We decided to go with SITA because we believe that SITA’s Horizon portfolio
will give us full control over our revenues, helping us to reduce costs and improve
passenger services. SITA’s services support our increasing penetration of the
mainland China market out of our Chep Lap Kok base,” commented Hong Kong Express
CEO Andrew Tse.

The services selected by HKE’s from the Horizon portfolio include SITA
Reservations, the passenger reservations and inventory control system, as well as a
fully integrated ticketing and automated fare quotation system.

“We are delighted to develop a long-term partnership with Hong Kong Express
Airways and look forward to working closely with the up-and-coming airline to
optimise their internal operational efficiency and to improve their passengers’
travel experience,” said Elyes M’Rad, SITA Regional Vice President of Sales and
Marketing, North Asia and China.
