January-February 2006 results indicate that Domodedovo International Airport maintains the leading position in terms of passenger traffic in the Moscow Aviation Hub. Passenger throughput reached 1,772,000 passengers in 2M2006, a 17.4% increase over the same period of 2005.

The highest growth was recorded on the routes to Bangkok, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Tel-Aviv, Madrid, Sharm El Sheikh, St. Petersburg, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Domodedovo airport serviced about 280,000 passengers on these routes, a 50% increase year-on-year.
