Fractional jetting gets smaller

JetSet Inc. is launching a Very Light Jet (“VLJ “) fractional ownership program - JetSet Fractions. The program features the MS760x, a 4 seat, twin-engine pressurized personal jet aircraft offering speed, efficiency and safety at low operating costs which will be on display at the Canadian AutoShow.

A total of 20 aircraft have already been ordered for Canada and the United States, with initial deliveries scheduled for March 2006. The introductory fractional offering is for US$60,000.

JetSet Inc., a Canadian sales and marketing company based in Burlington, Ontario, is re-introducing the MS760 personal jet. Complete with state-of-the-art avionics (glass panel instruments), custom paint and leather interior, the JetSet MS760x is a fast and efficient personal jet.

Designed, manufactured and certified in France in the 1960’s, the MS760 was introduced as the first business jet in North America by Beech Aircraft Corporation.

While the four-place, twin engine jet was fast and easy to fly, the high purchase price at the time appealed to only a few wealthy buyers. Customers included the Shah of Persia, Morocco’s Prince Hassan, and Harold Quandt, heir to the BMW automobile empire.

The Very Light Jet (“VLJ”) is defined as an aircraft that seats four to six passengers, travels almost as fast as current light jets and has a range of 1,000 nautical miles.

The VLJ market has recently seen significant press coverage and is set to explode - and a number of manufacturers are placing their bets.

Companies such as Eclipse Aviation, Adam Aircraft and Cessna are gearing up to deliver their first VLJs which are expected in late 2006 and 2007 at prices ranging from approximately US$1.5 to $2.4 million in 2005 dollars. At these prices, that’s still a far reach for many potential buyers looking for an affordable personal jet.

The JetSet Fractions, a fractional ownership program allows customers to purchase as much airplane as they need. A one-sixteenth ownership can be purchased for US$60,000.

This entitles the owner to a minimum of 25 hours per year at affordable hourly operating costs. With cruise speeds of 0.7 MACH (400mph/666kmh), a range of 1,000 miles (1,666 km), and an introductory offering under US$1m, the JetSet MS760x is an unparalleled VLJ value proposition.
