Sandals goes for gold
Sandals Regency St Lucia Golf Resort and Spa at La Toc has struck gold by making it onto Conde Nast Traveler’s Magazine’s Annual Gold List, which highlights the world’s best places to stay. The latest issue of the magazine describes the Regency staff as “friendly and unobtrusive” and praises the hotel’s open-air Caribbean restaurant, Pitons, for its “wonderful pumpkin soup”.
The Conde Nast Traveler Gold List now in its 12th year is compiled from feedback from nearly 28,000 subscribers to the magazine, and includes hotels, resorts and cruiseliners operating across the globe.
Carl Hendriks, General Manager at the Sandals Regency says: “It is a great honour for the Regency to be recognised as one of the world’s finest. But the achievement is all down to the hard work and dedication of everybody who works at the Regency. Without them we wouldn’t have a hotel, let alone one of the best in the world.”
Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach and Villa Resort and Sandals Negril Beach Resort and Spa, both in Jamaica, are also featured on the Gold List.
