New partner for PlacesToStay

Travel firm Dawson and Sanderson Ltd, has agreed to incorporate FEXCO’s PlacesToStay private rate hotel inventory in its travel product offer.

The deals follow similar agreements in the summer with travel technology
providers CodeGen, Ramedian and Ramesys, multi-agency parent company P&P
Associates, and dynamic packaging business lowcostbeds.com.

Established over 40 years ago, Dawson and Sanderson claims to have
serviced over four million customers through its network of 25 offices
located mainly in the North East.

The company has invested substantially in online travel services, providing products such as package holidays, hotels, flights, cruises, car rental, foreign exchange and travel
insurance through eight separate web sites, each focused on a particular product or service.

It also owns business travel agency Corporate Travel Services.

PlacesToStay is the rebranded former CNG Travel Group online hotel
reservation programme bought by FEXCO in October.

It provides real time online reservations with over 25,000 hotel properties offering competitive rates and commission.

Dawson and Sanderson managing director Chris Pattison commented: “Our long
heritage of providing quality service and superior choice from our High
Street locations underpinned our very successful development of online
services for our customers.

By accessing our varied web sites, they can instantly review a superior range of travel products and book quickly and securely.

We’re always looking to provide more choice and therefore value,
which is why we’ve agreed to add PlacesToStay hotel inventory to our
offer.”

Tim Wright, Fexco AllTravel’s head of business development and
distribution, added: “The Dawson and Sanderson deal is a significant coup
for FEXCO and we’re delighted to be working with one of Britain’s largest
independent agency businesses. Once again, it shows the value we can
deliver and the confidence that travel professionals have in our
PlacesToStay proposition.”
