Hilton spa to reopen in Cancun

The Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort will reopen as a new 426-room luxury resort on May 1st, 2006.

A master plan is underway to create a new look, with renovations to both the interior and exterior of the hotel.

Interior renovations include the hotel’s restaurants, bars, lobby and atrium, both Miramar and Caesar Ballrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center and a brand-new sports bar. On the exterior, enhancements will be made to the seven swimming pools, the pool deck, as well as the golf course. Details about the phenomenal new look will be available next month, as well as information about the cost of the renovations.

“We look forward to welcoming guests back in May 2006. The planned renovations will position the Hilton as one of Cancun’s premier resorts for both leisure guests and groups.  In addition to a fabulous new look, our staff will continue to provide outstanding service and gracious hospitality to all of our guests,” says Dave Smith, General Manager of the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort.

Among the many features that distinguish the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort are 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, a 12,000-square-foot Wellness Spa, an 18-hole, 72-par championship golf course, 426 luxurious ocean-view guest rooms, seven gorgeous swimming pools (including an infinity pool and heated whirlpools), and a variety of water sports.

The resort has won The Connie Award from Hilton Hotels Corporation for Best Overall Performance in the Resort category, the AAA’s Four Diamond Award, Successful Meetings magazine’s Pinnacle Award, Meetings & Conventions magazine’s Gold Key and Gold Tee Awards, Corporate and Incentive Travel Award of Excellence, Conde Nast Traveler’s Award for one of the Top 10 Resorts in Latin America, 2005 Inner Circle Award from Association Meetings Magazine and the “Best of the West” award from Meetings West magazine.
