Thailand to host spa conference

The International Spa & Wellness Conference and Exhibition is to be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from May 3-5, 2006.

With the theme, The Best of the East, ISPA 2006 Thailand is seen as the perfect opportunity to reinforce the country’s positioning as the “Spa and Wellness Capital of Asia” and showcase Thailand as a leading world class spa destination and marketplace for the spa industry.

ISPA 2006 Thailand aims to advance the professionalism of the Asian spa industry, thus promoting the industry’s long - term growth, and provide a forum for networking and business opportunities.

A 3-day conference will feature international spa experts and consultants who will conduct several conferences on business management, industry and consumer trends and findings, and, success stories of major operators in the Asia-Pacific region.

The ISPA event coincides with a nationwide celebration of His Majesty The King’s 60th Anniversary of Ascending to the Throne and is expected to attract a huge crowd of visitors from all over the world.

The whole of Thailand especially Bangkok will be in a festive atmosphere during this period and will have a wide program of celebrations. Trade visitors will benefit from an online business matching service that will help arrange for meetings and contacts before the event.

ISPA 2006 is hosted by the Ministry of Industry’s Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ISMED), co-hosted by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and supported by the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Commerce, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Federation of Thai Spa, and Thai Airways International.
