Calabash back in business

The Calabash Hotel and Villas, Grenada’s favourite luxury resort, has completed the
multi-million dollar refurbishment of its 30 suites, contained in ten cottages and
set amongst acres of tropical gardens bordering Prickly Bay Cove in the south of the
island.

The new décor and luxurious furnishings, by British designers Sally Harcourt
International, have given the suites a light, bright environment where guests can
enjoy every comfort expected from a leading luxury resort. They now feature
contemporary furniture with an Art Deco twist, hand built from maple and cherry wood
by craftsmen based in the UK.. Careful consideration has been given to colour choice
and different themes have been introduced to fit the four different suite categories
available.

Each air conditioned suite, all of which feature whirlpool baths, now has its own
character whilst still offering a continuity of style throughout the hotel. Rugs
have been designed for each scheme and hand tufted in India, and original artwork is
now featured in the rooms. Beautiful curtains, valances, cushions and throws have
been made in striking yet sophisticated fabrics and the final touch involves crisp
white Egyptian cotton bed linen and subtle lighting.
