Marriott expands Orbitz deal

Orbitz has announced that it has expanded its
relationship with Marriott to provide Orbitz.com customers
with merchant hotel rates at Marriott hotels and resorts around the world.Marriott has agreed to make more of its inventory of hotel rooms available to
Orbitz’ growing customer base of travelers. Previously, Orbitz offered merchant hotel rates at Marriott properties
through its agreement with TravelWeb, of which Marriott was a founder.  Now,
as part of this new relationship with Marriott, Orbitz is able to offer its
customers merchant rates directly from Marriott’s central reservation system.

adds to the breadth of options available to travelers who book hotels on
Orbitz.com,” said Jeff Grant, vice president of hotels for Orbitz. “Our

and Associates, coupled with our expanded distribution relationship with
Marriott, gives our customers both excellent value at fantastic properties and
a hotel booking experience that surpasses the competition.”
