Curaçao Appoint Executive Director of Tourism

The Curaçao Tourism Development Board (CTDB) have announced the appointment of Clifton Walle as Executive Director of Tourism. In his new position, Walle we be responsible for marketing Curaçao as a unique and different destination.
“I am very committed to leading Curaçao tourism to new heights,” commented Walle. “As a native Curaçaoan I know this island possesses all the qualities to become a first class destination and one of the top seven tourism options in the Caribbean.”

Walle’s official appointment started in mid-August and he brings a wealth of experience to the post. Previously, Walle worked with the CTDB as Deputy Executive Director and prior to that served as the Commercial Director at Curaçao Airport Partners where he formed a close relationship with the tourist board regarding new route development and general destination promotions.

“At this stage in its development, Curaçao is very much focused on doubling
the number of arrivals within the next 7 to 10 years. With new hotel
developments and the strengthening of our relationships with the public and
private sector, it can only be a ‘win-win’ situation for all involved,”
added Walle.

Walle received his education both in Curacao and the Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Public Relations as well as a Masters in Business Administration. Walle is married and has four children.

“I characterize myself as a young, dynamic, professional with a no-nonsense business attitude,” said Walle. “Taking Curaçao to the next level will be a combined effort driven by our team of professionals in which I have great confidence.”
