Singapore Airlines Sweeps Up

Singapore Airlines, today, received three prestigious awards - Best Long Haul Airline, Best Asian Airline and Best Cabin Crew - which were voted for by UK readers of Business Traveller magazine.  Business Traveller’s Asia Pacific publication also awarded the airline six awards as voted for by its readers.
Business Traveller UK Awards Won by Singapore Airlines
- Best Long Haul Airline: Won for seventh the consecutive year
- Best Asian Airline
- Best Cabin Crew

Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards Won by Singapore Airlines
- Best Airline: Won for the fourteenth consecutive year
- Best Asia-Pacific Airlines
- Best Economy Class
- Best Business Class
- Best First Class
- Best Frequent Flyer Programme


Raja Segran Singapore Airlines General Manager UK and Ireland said: “We are delighted that our valued customers have given us these prestigious awards.  While Singapore Airlines is one of the most awarded airlines in the world, we are not resting on our laurels.  What makes the airline stand out is our relentless pursuit of product innovation and service excellence.  Indeed in late 2006, we will be presenting another world first when we are the first airline to fly the Airbus 380 double-decker aircraft on the London -Singapore - Sydney route.

“These awards are also a welcome boost for our staff who have done an excellent job and continued to provide passengers in the UK with an award-winning service,” he continued.

The Business Traveller awards are amongst the many accolades Singapore Airlines has received this year.  Singapore Airlines came first in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller 2005 Awards for the category of Long Haul Leisure Airline, scoring top marks for punctuality, efficiency and services, including child-friendly facilities.  It was also named Best Major Airline at The Wanderlust 2005 Travel Awards.  While readers of Holiday Which? magazine voted SIA Most Highly Recommended Airline and the Airline won Best Airline based in Asia and Best International First Class at the 2005 OAG Awards.
