Site59 Co-Founder Joins Travelocity as COO

Travelocity today announced that Tracey Weber has been named chief operating officer,  North America. Additionally, Weber will lead the Travelocity sales and customer care team, Travelocity.ca and sister company Site59.
“Tracey’s leadership and ability to bring out the absolute best in our teams across the company has been immeasurable to Travelocity,” said Michelle Peluso, Travelocity president and CEO. “As we move forward with executing our plans for the remainder of 2005 and beyond, she will continue to play a key role in assuring that we maintain the renewed momentum we’ve worked so hard to build over the last several years.”

“It has been such a privilege for me to be a part of the Travelocity team,” Weber said. “It’s been amazing to see our people across the organization continually rise to meet our customers and suppliers’ needs time after time in the three years I’ve worked here.”

Previously, Weber served as Travelocity’s senior vice president air, car and last minute deals. Prior to this, she was deeply involved in the launch of Travelocity’s TotalTrip dynamic packaging shopping engine as well as in the development of Travelocity’s industry-leading net rate hotel program, playing a key role in operations, content strategy and management. Weber came to Travelocity from Site59 when it was acquired by Travelocity in March 2002. She was a co-founder of Site59 and also served as the company’s chief operating officer.

Weber earned her master’s of business administration from The Wharton School of Management and her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
