United Expands explus Service

United Airlines
today announced an expansion of explus(sm) service
—the United Express line featuring three classes of seating on
state-of-the-art Embraer-170 (70-seat) and Canadair RJ-700* (66-seat) regional
jets—to Washington Dulles-San Antonio, Texas, and an additional daily
roundtrip between San Antonio and Los Angeles, both scheduled to begin
Oct. 31, 2005.United Express will also offer new, nonstop daily service between San
Francisco and Tucson, Ariz., beginning the same day, on Bombardier Canadair
Regional Jet 50-seat aircraft.
  “With our recent launch of explus, we’re already hearing great feedback on
it from our customers.  We are pleased now to expand this regional jet service
—as well as other United Express service,” said Sean Donohue, vice
president-Operational Services, United Express and Ted.  “Our customers want a
more comfortable travel experience and more routes.  This latest expansion
further reinforces United’s commitment to provide quality and comfort to our
customers.”
  The Washington-San Antonio roundtrip service will be operated by United
Express partner Mesa Airlines using CRJ-700 aircraft.  The San Antonio-Los
Angeles service will be operated by United Express partner Skywest, also on
CRJ-700 aircraft.  All service is currently open for sale.
  The Washington Dulles-San Antonio explus service will depart daily from
San Antonio at 12:05 p.m. with a return flight from Washington Dulles at 5:30
p.m.  The United Express 50-seat San Francisco-Tucson service will depart
daily from Tucson at 6:15 a.m., with a return from San Francisco departing at
6:15 p.m.
