Jebel Ali International Hotels, successful owner/operator of various properties in Dubai, is delighted to announce the arrival of Al Bawaba, the company’s new Emiratisation Programme. 

Although Jebel Ali International Hotels’ Emiratisation Programme has already been confirmed as an acknowledged model for the hospitality industry, following the company’s Certificate of Appreciation at the 2004 Dubai Human Development Award, Al Bawaba elevates the company’s stance on the Emiratisation front to yet another level.

Al Bawaba will be the company’s main driving force and chief channel to promote and implement careers in the hospitality industry for UAE Nationals, and all indications are that the programme will continue to grow from strength to strength. 

The massive response following the Careers Fair held earlier this year, resulted in more than 100 resumes forwarded to the Corporate Human Resources Department of Jebel Ali International Hotels.  A total of 40 UAE Nationals are currently employed by Jebel Ali International Hotels within a number of different departments including Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Front Office.

“As Jebel Ali International Hotels continues its commitment to long-term Emiratisation, the development of the UAE Nationals’ individual abilities through extensive training and guidance is taking a front seat,” said Ghanim Al Marri, Manager Emiratisation and National Employment.  “Orientation Days and Review Programmes are regular occurrences, and UAE Nationals are being welcomed and integrated thorough a process which combines team work, individual development and first-hand professional experience.”
