bmi Increases Barbados Service Frequencies from Manchester

bmi is to increase its direct Manchester to Barbados service to three flights a week from 24 October 2005.

The additional service will operate on Mondays, complementing the existing services operating on Wednesdays and Fridays, and offering more flexibility and choice to travellers who wish to combine a wider range of night stops as well as travel to other Caribbean destinations.

Flights will be operated on an Airbus A330 aircraft featuring the airline’s award winning three-class cabin product, including ‘the business’ which features bmi’s dedicated onboard chefs.

bmi chief executive, Nigel Turner, said: “Barbados is proving to be an extremely popular year-round destination and we expect that the addition of a Monday departure will be an attractive option for many travellers to the island.  Our four flights a week to the Caribbean are also providing excellent opportunities for inter-island connections to other popular Caribbean holiday resorts.”
