Virgin Says Good Night

Virgin Atlantic is pleased to announce that it has developed a new Good Night flight service for its Upper Class passengers on flights departing after 9pm. Virgin Atlantic will be offering Upper Class passengers a wide variety of freshly prepared food in the Clubhouse so that they can enjoy their evening meal before their flight.  Once onboard, passengers who want to maximise their sleep will be offered a Good Night snack and nightcap before their bed is made.  Passengers who do not have time to eat in the Clubhouse can still choose from a range of full meal options onboard at any time during the flight, which have been redesigned to permit a much quicker service.
Sir Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Atlantic, commented:

“We are always asking our passengers what we can do to improve their experience of travelling with us.  Following the success of our award-winning Upper Class Suite, it was clear that passengers travelling on overnight flights were keen to get to sleep in their suites as soon as possible.  The Good Night service allows them to have a delicious meal in the Clubhouse, and a quicker service of gourmet menu options onboard, so they can get the longest night’s sleep possible!

“We are delighted to help business travellers to get to sleep as soon as possible, so they are fresh for arrival.  In fact, our main problem now is that passengers tell me that they sleep so soundly in our suites that they tend to miss breakfast!”

The Good Night service will be onboard all flights departing Heathrow and Gatwick after 9pm as well as the following inbound flights: VS602 from Johannesburg, VS201 from Hong Kong, VS24 from Los Angeles, VS46 and VS10 from JFK (New York) and VS2 from Newark (New York).

Launched in November 2003, the Upper Class Suite is a unique product which consists of a reclining leather seat for take off, a place to sit and eat a proper meal opposite your partner, the longest fully flat bed in the world with a proper mattress for sleeping on, a private onboard bar to drink at with your friends and four limousines per return trip.  On boarding Upper Class passengers are also provided with the latest Ozwald Boateng amenity kit, filled with travel essentials and a comfortable sleep suit to sleep in.
