There have been at least six explosions during the rush hour.

There are reports of 90 casualties from the Aldgate (close to Liverpool St.) explosion alone. The city is grid locked.

Prime Minister Tony Blair is rumoured to make a statement at midday BST.

Many reports suggest that the shut down could have occurred due to a power surge on the underground.

St. Mary’s Hospital says that four people are critically ill. Injuries include limb damage and burns.

There are reports of a further explosion on Houndsditch Road near Liverpool St.
