OTRUM Reaches Milestone

OTRUM has announced that the 100,000 room mark has been reached with the installation of InterContinental Düsseldorf in Germany. These 100,000 rooms have been installed by OTRUM since April 2001, when a strategic decision was taken to change the company’s mode of operation, from pure interactive software development to being a fully fledged sales and distribution company. Additionally over 300,000 rooms have OTRUM technology installed through third party distribution agreements in place before 2001.

Mr. Fredd Causevic, President and CEO of OTRUM, states, “This achievement is confirmation of OTRUM’s dedication to our customers and our focus on developing the right products for the market. Since we began sales and distribution activities four years ago, we have been successful in attracting a number of leading hotel chains such as Hilton International, InterContinental Hotels Group (Holiday Inn and Express By Holiday Inn brands), Rezidor SAS, Steigenberger, Rainbow Hotels, Sokos Hotels and Choice Hotels.”

This announcement coincidences with OTRUM’s celebration of 20 years in the interactive TV industry, and it is evident that OTRUM’s strength and market dominance is strongly linked to it’s historical roots. OTRUM was the market leader in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2002, 2003 and 2004, and it is clear that factors such as in-house research and development, the success of the OTRUM Support Centre and customer’s preference to buy direct from the supplier have had a great impact.
