The Rihga Royal began operating as an
independent hotel on Saturday, June 18, 2005, having concluded its affiliation
with the J.W. Marriott Hotel Company on June 17.  The move to independent
operation is the hotel’s first step toward redefining New York’s new, luxury
all-suite market and establishing the hotel’s position as a cornerstone of
excellence in that market.Manhattan’s premier luxury all-suite hotel, the sleek 54-story Rihga is
located in the heart of midtown’s Theatre District and just steps from New
York City’s business and shopping districts, Central Park, Carnegie Hall and
Broadway Theatres.  The hotel offers guests 505 spacious suites with such
in-room amenities as personal training, massage services and exercise
accessories.
  The Rihga Royal was recently acquired by affiliates of Blackstone Real
Estate Advisors.  Blackstone and its affiliates have a history of
significantly reinvesting in their assets and dramatically improving services
and facilities and the same is anticipated for the Rihga Royal.
