Delta Adjusts Trans-Atlantic Surcharge

Delta Air Lines has raised passenger surcharges on tickets purchased on or after June 15, 2005, for travel on its trans-Atlantic flights. The surcharge increase is $10 each way, except for travel originating in the United Kingdom, which is GBP 4.50 each way.
The fee affects all trans-Atlantic travel except travel to or from Canada and Mexico, and travel from France and Italy. The surcharge increase is primarily related to the rise of jet fuel prices this year. The surcharge, where applicable, will be included in the fare for air transportation services quoted in any Delta advertising, or quoted to consumers by Delta or its authorized agents. Tickets purchased prior to June 15, 2005, for trans- Atlantic travel in the future are not affected by the changes.
