Swisscom Eurospot has provided high-speed Internet access throughout the Westin Dublin.

Guests at the Westin Dublin hotel can now go online anywhere in the hotel after Swisscom Eurospot, the leading pan-European provider of high-speed Internet access and conference services, has installed wired Internet connections in all 163 guest rooms, to compliment the current offering of wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.

Swisscom Eurospot installed wireless Internet access in the hotel bedrooms and public areas in 2004 and now, in order to provide guests with a more complete technology offering, visitors without wireless capabilities or unfamiliar with wireless Internet access can access the Internet in the bedrooms using a Speedlink adapter with an Ethernet connection.

Enda Mullin, General Manager, Westin Dublin, explained:  “High-speed Internet access is a standard requirement for the corporate traveler today and even our leisure customers enjoy the opportunity to stay in contact with friends and family whilst on vacation.  Now any of our guests can log on in the comfort of their room, or while sipping a cocktail from the Mint bar, whether they prefer a wired or a wireless connection.”

“Our guests have commented on how easy the technology is to use and we are even seeing an increasing number of non-resident guests visiting the hotel to use the public areas such as The Atrium for informal meetings or to log on because they like the surroundings and the convenient access,” continued Mullin.

Swisscom Eurospot also provides the Westin Dublin with customised meeting and conference solutions for corporate visitors, ranging from single-user high-speed Internet access, to fully comprehensive solutions providing access for several thousands of conference attendees.
