easyJet Offers Instant Insurance

Mondial UK is building on its successful partnership with easyJet to offer travellers instant insurance through ‘dynamic packaging’. This latest innovation on www.easyJet.com enables customers to buy both a flight and insurance cover in one transaction. Mondial has been offering insurance to easyJet customers since 2002 via a white label Internet solution. The new ‘dynamic packaging’ means that while customers are booking their flight, the insurance calculations are simultaneously being worked out in the background. Once a customer has decided to buy tickets there is an option to add insurance that has already been calculated dependent on the trip details.

Rachel Start of easyJet explains, “Dynamically packaged travel insurance is the next step in easyJet’s pioneering use of e-commerce and commitment to continue to provide its customers with convenient and low cost services using innovative technology. The insurance offers comprehensive cover at a competitive price, it has never been quicker, easier or simpler to buy travel insurance.”

Steve Hook, (pictured) Director of Corporate & Travel for Mondial comments, “easyJet customers stand to benefit from fast, easy travel insurance with the added confidence that they are comprehensively insured. By calculating the insurance quote to the flight details as they are being booked means customers can be confident that the policy completely matches their requirements. Through our partnership with easyJet we are offering low cost, high quality insurance.”

The new service has only been available for a short time but sales have already exceeded expectations.  Hook continues: “This exciting development builds on our already strong relationship with easyJet. The Mondial Assistance Group and easyJet recently signed a pan-European contract to provide easyJet’s customers with travel insurance products throughout their destinations in Europe. The first countries to benefit include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands. We look forward to working closely with easyJet to bring its customers the latest in quality, affordable insurance cover.”
