Couples Resorts Appoints Melissa Trench
After only two years with Couples Resorts as
Sales and Marketing Communications Manager, Melissa Trench has been promoted
to Director of Marketing in their Miami headquarters. In this new role she
will serve as a liaison between Couples Resorts and their primary tour
operators and marketing partners. She will be responsible for overseeing
the advertising and public relations initiatives as well as marketing
finances.“As Manager of Sales and Marketing Communications, Melissa has been
instrumental in educating both consumers and the trade about Couples Resorts
unique positioning. She has become a valued asset to the company’s
continued success and growth and we are very pleased to recognize her with
this deserved promotion,” stated Randy Russell, chief romance officer and
senior vice president of sales and marketing and Trench’s direct supervisor.
Other job responsibilities that come with the new position include:
overseeing strategic marketing, inclusive of loyalty programs, online
message boards and surveys; directing the development and implementation of
collateral, special events and promotions; managing existing partnerships as
well as identifying and capitalizing on additional marketing partnerships to
build share and awareness; developing and managing the annual marketing
budget; and reviewing advertising opportunities and overseeing the
development of material to support sales teams.
Prior to joining the Couples Resorts team in 2003, Trench spent five years
with Air Jamaica Vacations where her last position was Gateway Marketing
Manager. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Trench graduated from Boston College in
1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance and currently
resides in the Doral area of Miami, Florida.
