Debut for New Marriott Bed
The Fullerton Marriott
announced today the completion of its $3 million guest room renovation. As
one of many hotels undergoing makeovers to unveil the new look and feel of
Marriott, it now features the recently announced and customer-praised new
Marriott bed. The white-on-white plush bedding consists of an 11-inch mattress,
featherbed topper, 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, a down
blanket, six down pillows, and a colorful bed scarf.
“We are very excited to have the new Marriott bed,” said Norm Santos,
general manager, Fullerton Marriott. “More importantly, it gave us the
perfect opportunity to support our local United Way.”
Over 6,000 bed linens were donated to the Orange County chapter of the
United Way—1,944 flat sheets, 1,716 pillow cases and over 600 duvet
covers and bed skirts. Linens are used in a variety of ways, including
arts and crafts such as painting, banners and stuffing for pillows and
everyday uses from laundry bags and drapes to coverings for stored items.
They are also often reinvented into picnic blankets and sacks for relay
races for games and outdoor activities.
The new look and feel of Marriott incorporates the latest in design,
technology, culinary expertise, service and comfort. Guests will begin to
experience it across all brands this year.
