China Cargo Airlines (CK) has signed a four year,

nine million dollar contract for the use of Air Cargo Manager software from

a joint venture launched by SITA INC (Information Networking Computing)  and

Cargolux Airlines S.A..

The Air Cargo Manager software is an integrated set of cargo automation and

commercial management solutions, designed to help airlines increase their

cargo revenue as well as to achieve higher levels of security, efficiency

and customer service.

 

“The benefit of the SITA solution is to provide sales, operations and

billing services to airlines via the internet. With CargoWEB, we are able

to do data exchange with sales agents and trading partners over the

internet,” commented Mrs. Ting Lin, IT Manager of China Cargo Airlines.

 

John Johnston,  CEO of the SITA-Cargolux joint venture, told the 2nd China

Cargo Summit: “The energy and focus of the Chinese airlines in their

drive to grow international business is clear for everyone to see. We are

committed to the Chinese market and have enjoyed long and mutually

beneficial relationships with our customers in the region. We plan to

reinforce that commitment through further investments in both products and

manpower.”
