Choice Hotels has signed a three year agreement with Shift4 Corporation to offer guests more credit card security online with Shift4’s $$$ ON THE NET software.“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Choice Hotels in
delivering our $$$ ON THE NET solution to their franchise properties. I
think this agreement says a lot about both companies - Choice, in terms
of their obvious commitment to technology and to their franchisees; and

$$$ ON THE NET allows associates at Choice hotels to quickly, accurately and securely process credit card transactions from their property management systems through any processor they select. In addition, $$$ ON THE NET provides the management at these properties advanced auditing capabilities, robust reporting and fraud
controls. Franchisees with multiple properties or properties with multiple
profit centers (restaurants, gift shops, etc.) can centrally report and
manage transactions for the complete enterprise right from a web-browser.

“In evaluating this transactional solution on behalf of our franchisees,
we considered cost, ease of installation and functionality,” said
Christopher Yellen, vice president, property systems, Choice Hotels. “We
believe we found all three with Shift4.”

The initial installation of the first 2650 properties will be completed by
September 30th of 2005. Phase two of the project will include the installation of
additional properties and will also focus on the development of additional functionality for the properties, including checkverification and debit features.
