IMEX (The Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events), now joins ITB Berlin as a Trade Fair partner of the International Council of Tourism Partners.

The two organisations will be working together over the coming year to develop initiatives by working to the UN Millennium Development Goals and the World Tourism Organization Code of Ethics.

Geoffrey Lipman, President, ICTP said “The meetings and incentive travel sector plays an important role within the travel and tourism industry and it is vital for ICTP to have IMEX’s commitment and formal agreement to support our joint venture.

IMEX Chairman, Ray Bloom added, “The ICTP is an excellent framework for engaging the meetings and incentive travel industry in the ‘make poverty history’ campaign. We are delighted to be partnering with the ICTP to increase awareness of these projects and through such initiatives as our Corporate Responsibility Centre and Programmes of Purpose Award, we aim to show ways in which meeting suppliers and planners can have significant and positive impacts on the community in which they operate.”
