St. Kitts shifts dates for Tour Operator Symposium to May 19-22
In an effort to avoid conflicts due to schedule changes made to other Caribbean events, St. Kitts today announces that it is officially changing the dates for its Tour Operator Symposium to May 19-22, 2005.
“We felt that it was both important and respectful to our sister Caribbean islands to revise the dates for our Tour Operator Symposium,” stated Richard (“Ricky”) O. Skerritt, Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture.
“This is the first year we are hosting this Symposium and we
wanted to show deference to those islands that have well-known, established events that tour operators regularly attend.”
St. Kitts has created this Symposium to further promote the island as a top business and leisure destination and to educate tour operators from around the globe about what the island can offer.
During the four-day event, tour operators will participate in a marketplace for wholesalers, brainstorming sessions and one-on-one meetings with key tourism partners from St. Kitts as well as have to opportunity to speak with Minister Skerritt.
The Symposium will also feature dinner receptions, island news updates and presentations from hotels, airlines, wholesalers and destination management companies.
