America West Summer Schedule Sizzles in Las Vegas
Beginning in June, America
West Airlines , the nation’s second largest low-cost airline, will be
offering its great low fares and full-service amenities on even more
flights out of its Las Vegas hub. Starting the first week of June and
continuing through the middle of the month, the airline will be adding
frequencies between Las Vegas and seven existing markets. Also, as
previously announced, the airline kicks off new service between Las Vegas
and Monterey, Calif. on June 17. The additional service builds on the
airline’s growth in Las Vegas last year, when it added nonstop flights to
15 new destinations. “We’re proud to be the hometown airline in Las Vegas and to continue to
expand our hub at one of the country’s hottest destinations,” said Dion
Flannery, vice president, scheduling and route planning. “Customers are
traveling to Las Vegas like never before, and we’re happy to provide more
service options and easier access to the low fares and premium service
America West offers.”
With the additions, America West will operate 154 daily departures and
serve 62 nonstop destinations from Las Vegas McCarran International
Airport, more than any other carrier.
