Tropicana and The Quarter Earn Atlantic City’s A+
On Sunday, March 13, 2005,
the Washington Post featured Atlantic City, NJ on the cover of its Travel
Section branding The Quarter and Tropicana Casino and Resort with the
city’s highest mark and only “A+.” The Washington Post also highlighted
the remaining properties along with other dining and entertainment venues
in the city, conceding that “things in AC are changing rapidly.“Dennis C. Gomes, president of resort operations for Aztar Corporation,
Tropicana’s parent company, had this to say, “We are honored that the
Washington Post has given Tropicana and The Quarter an A+. Since its debut
in November 2004, The Quarter has been overwhelmingly received by the
mainstream media. We have truly become a resort destination.”
Here are a few more quotes from the Washington Post:
“Atlantic City, NJ is dancing to a new beat. And it goes all night” ...
“For proof, look no further than The Quarter.” ... “For the moment, The
Quarter is the big dog.” ... “It’s all quite impressive (The Quarter) ...”
... “You can’t stray far without bumping into some sort of fun diversion
...”
Undoubtedly what’s the city’s most sensational, sultry and sizzling hot
new destination, The Quarter at Tropicana is the largest non-gaming
expansion in the history of Atlantic City. In addition to offering guests
first-rate dining, shopping, entertainment and spa options, the Havana
Tower adds 505 new hotel rooms, 45,000 square feet of meeting space, and
2,400 new parking spaces.
