CNG Comments on Best Western Deal

CNG Travel Group plc, the leading travel technology and
services provider, today announced a major expansion of its private rate hotel
programme inventory. It has added Best Western, THE WORLD’S LARGEST HOTEL CHAIN®
with more than 4,100 hotels, after signing a new preferred distribution agreement. The agreement reinforces CNG’s market position, establishing it as one of the
world’s largest private rate hotel booking programmes with over 25,000 participating
hotels. CNG’s programme allows Best Western member hotels to maintain all-important
control over rates so brand integrity is not compromised. Automated processes and
seamless connectivity with reservation systems enable participating hotels to alter
room availability and pricing in real time, maintain their own rates, allocations
and closed dates, and receive electronic booking confirmations.

CNG founder and CEO Finbarr Power commented:

“This agreement with a significant worldwide brand like Best Western adds further
significant volume, choice and revenue potential to CNG’s private rate hotel
programme. Our success in expanding hotel inventory without compromising hotel brand
integrity is paralleled by CNG signing more travel agencies, technology partners and
affiliates like airlines. We hope to announce further agreements in the coming
months as we continue to build our hotel reservations programme.”

Beth Delci, Managing Director of eBusiness, Best Western International, said:

“Best Western has developed a distribution strategy that establishes preferred
relationships with key partners such as CNG. We anticipate increased distribution
and sales opportunities for our member hotels. This agreement strengthens Best
Western’s commitment to providing superior programmes for our members and service
for our customers.”
