AirTran to host golf contest on Grand Bahama

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., once again will host the AirTran Airways Grand Bahama Golf Classic, a charity golf tournament being held June 3-5, 2005, at the Westin at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort on Grand Bahama Island.

All proceeds from the AirTran Airways Grand Bahama Golf Tournament benefit Travelers Aid, which annually serves more than 9,000 homeless throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area.

The three-day, all-inclusive tournament, hosted by Neal Boortz of WSB-AM, features 36 holes of championship golf, roundtrip airfare from Atlanta courtesy of AirTran Airways, hotel accommodations at the Westin at Our Lucaya, ground transportation, meals and prizes.

“The Crew Members of AirTran Airways are proud to sponsor this exciting event that benefits so many people in the Atlanta area through the work of Travelers Aid of Metropolitan Atlanta,” said Tad Hutcheson, AirTran Airways director of marketing.

“Thanks to all the sponsors and golfers, we’re able to provide opportunities for those who need them most.”
