Radisson SAS Opens Office in Qatar
Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts has opened a dedicated sales office in Qatar. The office, which has a prime street-front location in the heart of the capital city, Doha, will provide a convenient one-stop shop for reservations at any of the Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts worldwide.
Craig Senior, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing Middle East, Rezidor SAS Hospitality, said, “Qatar is a rapidly developing market, and one we are actively pursuing at the moment. The reservations office will ensure that the demand we are currently experiencing is met effectively, and also increase the sales volume and raise the profile of the Radisson SAS brand.
“Radisson SAS opened a similar outlet in Kuwait in December 1999 with tremendous success. We are hoping to build on that success, and the knowledge we have gained from the experience, in Qatar.”
Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts currently operates 127 hotels in 37 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with another 30 projects under development.
“Two of the most popular GCC destinations from Qatar are Bahrain and Sharjah, especially for weekends and Eid breaks,” said Edward Haddad, the outlet’s newly-appointed Sales and Marketing Manager. “The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel in Manama, Bahrain, and the Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah, both well-established and beautifully appointed properties with easy access to transport links, are ideally located to cater to this demand.Ê
“The UK is another very popular destination, especially during the summer months, and Radisson SAS can take advantage of this, with 13 properties in London alone, and a total of 22 across the UK, including hotels in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

“Pan Gulf business travel is another important outbound market from Qatar and our 13 properties in the Middle East now feature high-speed wireless internet access and dedicated meetings and events staff, providing corporate travellers with the value-added services that epitomise the Radisson SAS ‘Yes I Can’ spirit of service.”
The brand’s expansion plans do not stop in Qatar, it is also planning to open sales offices across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province, later this year.
“We are looking to increase the number of dedicated reservations offices throughout the Arabian Gulf. Radisson SAS is currently considering a number of viable destinations that have a strong track record of outbound sales traffic and steady growth patterns,” added Senior.
