SkyTeam Debuts at Business Travel Show

In early February, representatives from all nine SkyTeam member airlines joined together to exhibit as an alliance at the Business Travel Show in London.  As one of almost 200 exhibitors, SkyTeam joined other airlines, hotel groups, travel management companies and travel suppliers seeking to build relationships with the 7,000 show attendees that are responsible for buying, booking or managing travel for their companies.

The SkyTeam stand featured literature, images of SkyTeam’s latest advertising campaign, a plasma screen presenting the alliance’s destination map (available via skyteam.com) and pictures of member airline aircraft models.  In addition, the SkyTeam representatives enticed visitors to stop by and look around by organizing prize drawings for bottles of fine champagne.

One of SkyTeam’s main marketing/sales goals is to provide travel services that appeal to corporate clients, and participating in events such as the Business Travel Show complements other sales activities, including site visits to corporate customers.  The coordination among members at the show is just one example of the joint initiatives SkyTeam members are working on to demonstrate the value of the alliance to passengers and all customers.
