MCI and DataValet to Expand Hospitality Internet Services

MCI, Inc. and DataValet today announced they will collaborate to deploy and
support broadband services to U.S.-based hotels. As part of the agreement,
MCI’s sales force will offer turnkey wired and wireless broadband
solutions while DataValet will provide project management and customer
service support.“With DataValet’s adaptive High Speed Internet Access solutions and our
extensive IP knowledge and capabilities, we can provide seamless broadband
services to hotels and guests in one comprehensive package,” said Steve
Young, senior vice president of MCI Commercial Sales. “This relationship
is a natural extension of the IP services MCI offers its hospitality
customers and will enable MCI to deploy customer specific solutions more
quickly.”

This agreement leverages MCI’s global leadership in providing data,
Internet and voice services and DataValet’s expertise in deploying hotels
for broadband access in guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas.
DataValet also will tailor broadband services to efficiently manage the
distribution, administration and billing of High Speed Internet Access
(HSIA) for hotel guests and provide dedicated help desk services 24/7 to
keep both clients and guests connected whenever and wherever they need to
be in the hotel.

As a preferred provider for many hotel chains, MCI has experience in
developing and implementing high-speed, reliable Internet services that
specifically address hotel customer needs. By offering a full-range of
broadband connections to its global IP infrastructure, MCI provides
complete end-to-end guest access to IP-based services.
