GroupTravelPlanet.com gives leisure travel planners the ability to plan,
book and manage all aspects of group trips online. Services include
consolidated billing, payment tools and the capability to check inventory
for group stays.

Group Travel Planet also hosts a call center to handle special requests
including help securing function space and finding unique group
activities.

“Group Travel Planet helps us serve people who need accommodations for
their groups but don’t have a lot of experience calling hotels and
negotiating arrangements,” said Bob Chafey, Cendant Hotel Group senior
director of tour markets. “This online tool makes booking group stays fast
and easy.”

Chafey said the site likely will be used to book family reunions, retired
military groups, amateur sports teams and social groups.

Scott Harness, president and chief executive officer of Group Travel
Planet, said his company’s booking sites expedite transactions for both
buyers and sellers by providing real-time booking along with the tools to
manage a group transaction, “from planning to hotel check-in.”
