Vegas.com Joins Prestigious Codie Nominees
The Software & Information Industry Association released its finalists for the 20th Annual Codie Awards, again selecting VEGAS.com as one of five nominees for best online consumer service.Ê As in 2004, VEGAS.com, is the only travel site included in its category, joining Codie finalists in other categories including The Wall Street Journal Online, IBM, AT&T and Amazon.com. Google won the 2004 Codie Award for best online consumer service.
“The 20th annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content and education technology industries,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA President.Ê “When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement.”
The Codie Awards showcase the software and digital content industry’s finest products and services and also honor excellence for corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts. Nearly 1,000 nominations were received for this year’s awards, an increase of 25% from 2004’s record-breaking total.
