Frontier Brings the Beaches of Cancun to St. Louis
With one of the coldest winters
in recent memory settling over Middle America, Frontier Airlines thought
it was the right time to remind St. Louis travelers that sun, sand and
warm water still exist in Cancun, Mexico. Frontier encourages its St.
Louis customers to shrug off that winter parka, drop the gloves and go buy
a new bathing suit because you can fly direct from St. Louis to Cancun for
as little as $89 each way, for the next 48 hours only. Tickets require a
round-trip purchase and must be purchased by January 20, 2005 at 10pm MST
for travel from February 25 through April 26, 2005. These special fares
are only available on nonstop flights between St. Louis and Cancun.
Nonstop flights between St. Louis and Cancun will operate three times per
week, on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. For those travelers unfamiliar with the world-class beaches and resorts of
Cancun, Frontier offers the following “fun-facts” about this great
vacation destination:
- Four decades ago Cancun was a deserted island that few people knew
existed. Today it’s a world-class resort with 27,000 rooms, 4 golf
courses, 22 marinas, and miles of smooth beaches.
- Less than 100 meters from shore there are wonderful coral formations teeming with marine life.
- “La Grieta,” a deep canyon off the eastern coast of Isla Mujeres, or
“La Corrientada,” east of Contoy Island, are the local hot spots for
deep-sea fishing.
- Mayan ruins exist even in the hotel zone and popular excursions are
available to Chichen Itza which features the Pyramid of KuKulcan which
stands 7 stories high and was built in 500 A.D.
