Accor Guests Go Online with UK Explorer
Guests at over 70 Accor properties in the UK will soon be able to go shopping or check their email in the lobby of the hotels thanks to UK Explorer.Public Internet access specialist UK Explorer is now installing Internet terminals in many of Accor’s Novotel and Ibis hotels in the UK.
The easy to use desks are being installed in the lobbies of the hotels to encourage guests to use them as they pass through.
Said UK Explorer Director Richard Stubbs: “The Web is increasingly becoming part of the travel experience. So we wanted to ensure that these terminals could be used at any time by guests who might just want to check out what’s going on locally, find nearby shops and bars, look at a local map, make a reservation at a restaurant or buy theatre tickets”.
Kiosks will all be installed by the end of the year, following a successful six month trial in a number locations. They make the Internet easy to use with a simple coin or credit card payment.
Said a spokesman for Accor Hotels: “In choosing UK Explorer as a national nominated supplier, we selected a company which we felt could advise us and support the development of our Internet terminal offering. Our guest feedback has been very positive and our hotels have been very happy with the support that they have received.”
