today announced its selection as the management company for the Phoenix
Park Hotel, a boutique and historic property conveniently located in the
heart of downtown Washington, D.C. The hotel, which is a member of the
National Trust for Historic Preservation’s elite group of Historic Hotels,
is only two blocks from the Nation’s Capitol and one block from Union
Station. Since 1922 the hotel has hosted diplomats, congressman and
visitors from around the world. The hotel features 150 guestrooms including six deluxe suites—three
penthouse and three bi-level-that are complete with working fireplaces,
balconies and period furnishings. Under the new management, all guest
rooms will be renovated and appointed with modern amenities such as high
speed Internet connections, dual telephone lines and work areas—while
retaining the charm and ambience of the property’s historic quality. The
hotel is also home to The Dubliner, an authentic Irish pub that has become
the gathering spot for those visiting or working around Capitol Hill. The
Dubliner features indoor and outdoor seating, Irish fare and live
entertainment.
