Sunset Jamaica Grande to feature new spa and water park

Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort will re-open on 19 March 2005, after a major refurbishment program. The resort’s concept will be a mid-market, all-inclusive holiday experience catering to singles, couples, families, weddings and leisure groups. The refurbishment will include upgrading the resort’s main dining area and Italian restaurant, the construction of a new entertainment area, expansion of the main pool deck area, the addition of a new beach bar and grill and a new wedding gazebo and the restoration of the main lobby.Additionally, the resort’s 730 guestrooms and suites will be updated with new mattresses, new soft goods and new televisions. Many other public areas will also be painted and generally refreshed.

A new, meandering water feature will link all three existing swimming pools together, as well as architecturally blend the pools along the beachfront. What’s more, an exciting new water park is being added with a lighthouse with two water slides - one slide that will ‘shoot’ guests into the Caribbean Sea and one into a swimming pool.

Additionally, a new spa will also be added. The complex will feature eight treatment rooms, two couples’ treatment rooms, a relaxation room and men’s and women’s locker rooms with separate sauna and steam rooms. A variety of massage, facial and body treatments will be offered, as well as a beauty salon with full nail, hair and waxing services.
