Amadeus takes full ownership of Amadeus France SNC

Amadeus Global Travel Distribution announced
today that it has raised its shareholding in Amadeus France SNC from 34 to
100 per cent by acquiring Air France’s 66 per cent stake for a consideration
of EUR 85.8 million.Amadeus France SNC, created in 1988 and located near Paris, is the French
national marketing and distribution company (NMC) for Amadeus Global Travel
Distribution. This NMC has a leading positioning in the French market, which
is one of Amadeus’ largest worldwide in terms of bookings. Nearly 4,000
French travel agencies are connected to the Amadeus System, generating
approximately 50 million bookings during 2003.

José Antonio Tazón, President and CEO of Amadeus, said: “With the
integration of Amadeus France SNC, Amadeus is consolidating its presence in
France, a strategic market for the company. This acquisition is in line with
the transactions completed in 2002 in the German and Scandinavian markets.
As we have seen in these markets, the consolidation of our marketing and
commercial operations results in substantial benefits for our customer
base.”
