What do you do with almost 40,000 items of linen following a linen
upgrade in 77 hotels? You ensure they are put to good use by donating them to
charity, of course!Hilton UK & Ireland and the Hilton in the Community Foundation have donated nearly
40,000 items of linen to support 15 nationwide charities, including the homeless
charity Crisis, the children’s charity Barnardos, and the National Children’s Home
(NCH) in Scotland.

The linen, which includes blankets, pillows and sheets, has already been distributed
throughout November and December to offer warmth and comfort to those less fortunate
in the winter months.

“We are pleased to be able to make a practical contribution to so many charities
throughout the country,” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, Area President, Hilton UK &
Ireland and Chairman of the Hilton in the Community Foundation. “I am delighted that
Hilton continues to seek new ways as a company to assist those in need in our local
communities, and through the Hilton in the Community Foundation we hope that we
shall be able to reach even more people in need in the future.”
