United Airlines Announces Last Minute Thanksgiving Sale

United Airlines today
announces its last minute Thanksgiving fare sale and useful tips that can
help make customers’ travel less expensive and their experience quicker
and easier. “United is offering new low fares between select major cities for our
customers who want to be with their friends and family on Thanksgiving,”
said Martin White, senior vice president-Marketing. “Customers can make
their last-minute travel plans quickly and easily by using united.com to
shop and purchase tickets, make reservations and even print boarding
passes. Also, while at the airport, United’s self-service Easy Check-in
kiosks can help travelers get through the airport quicker.”

United’s Thanksgiving fare sale provides customers a last minute chance to
buy low travel fares to select major cities for departure on Nov.25 or
Nov.26 and return flight on Nov.25, Nov.26, Nov.30 or Dec.1. Customers can
book their travel at united.com or calling reservations at 1-800-UNITED1

Once customers have their travel reservations made, United suggests
arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure
time, 60 minutes with no checked baggage on domestic flights and at least
two hours for international flights. In addition, United offers the
following suggestions:

—Wrapped Gifts: Those traveling with gifts as carry-on or checked
baggage should not wrap them. All items are subject to searches, including
wrapped gifts.—Carry-on Bags: The Federal Aviation Administration
allows only one carry-on bag and one small personal item, such as a
briefcase, purse or laptop. Per the Tranportation Security
Administration’s security requirements, United will not allow cutting
instruments nor knives of any size made from any material on its flights.

should carry a government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license,
etc.). International customers must have a valid passport.

United’s Easy Travel services provide customers the opportunity to make
reservations, access flight schedules and check passengers in before going
to the airport. Customers can check in for their flights from home when
they log on to United.com and can also print boarding passes, check bags,
confirm upgrades and pick seat assignments through United’s EasyCheck-in
self-serve kiosks, or use the EasyCheck-in Curbside Skycap service before
they enter the terminal.
