Jamaica introduces new immigration card

As of October 25, 2004, all visitors travelling to and from Jamaica will be required to complete a new immigration card.ÊDeparting passengers will hand their cards to Immigration Officers in the departure area. Incoming passengers will continue to hand in their cards to the Immigration Officers.The new card features text in English and Spanish as well as bigger writing blocks and answer boxes for easier completion and improved legibility. The arrival record and the departure record are on the same card. The cards will also be scanned for accessing information and electronic retrieval.

Visitors who entered Jamaica before October 25, 2004 and are departing after the start of the new system should retain the old Immigration card to present to the Immigration Officer in the departure area.
